The purpose of this paper is to asses work life balance policy that could attract employee retention toward organization. Specifically, this study examine which type of work life balance policies that given the highest mean to employee retention from the employee point of view. The respondents selected from this study are employee at Management Division of Road and Transport Department, Jalan Padang Jawa, Shah Alam, Selangor. A questionnaire is adapted from a previous research done by Hassan, Z., & Dollard, M., (2007) by using a model develop by Harr and Spell (2003). The questionnaire has 45 question which consist of demographic profile, itemized work-life balance policy and also summary work-life balance policy that would attract employee retention. 44 respondents have answered the questionnaire.Flexible working arrangement, leave-related policies and pregnancy-related are the three work-life balance policies prefer by the respondents in this study. The study also found out that gender make no significant effect on policy for work life balance preferences. The findings have implications for organization to develop their work life balance policies program in order to attract employee retention toward the organization.
