Research on evaluation and effectiveness of training has long received the attention from the practitioners as well as the academicians, especially in human resources development. Nevertheless, empirical research is still insufficient, especially in the context of Malaysian public universities, and involving the social science students. Therefore, the researcher applied Kirkpatrick four levels of evaluations in her attempted to examine the evaluation of industrial training, from the perspectives of undergraduates.
The current study therefore is choosing 181 students from both Bachelor of Administrative Science as well as Bachelor of Corporate Administration to find their perspectives of evaluations through simple random sampling methodology. However, the respondent rate was 64 percent with 113 completed returned questionnaires. Even though the return rate is not 100 percent, through reliability test, the data is still parametric data, thus parametric analysis was conducted.
It was found out that, there are moderate positive relationships between reaction, learning and behavioral changes towards the results of industrial training. This study provides useful insight especially for the students and faculty with regards to industrial training.
