Nowadays, even with the various programs launched by the government, the number of unemployment, especially among the fresh graduates keeps on increasing. There are many reasons that lead to the unemployment among the graduates, and one of the reasons is due to the lack of employability skills which employers are seeking for from the graduates. Based on the literature review, the researcher had short-listed three (3) employability skills that may influence the graduates‟ employment opportunities, which are; problem solving skills, English proficiency, and communication skills. Three (3) research objectives were constructed in this study, which are to study the employers‟ willingness to employ fresh graduates as their employees; to identify the relationship between problem solving skills, English proficiency, and communication skills with graduates‟ employment opportunities; and to determine the most influential skill that influences the graduates‟ employment opportunities. A conceptual framework had been constructed to illustrate the links between the variables. Questionnaires were distributed to 230 employers in the large-and medium-sized companies in Shah Alam to represent the population for this study. In this study, the researcher utilized the Likert-scale questions to answer the independent and dependent variables. The data were then tested for its goodness of data via series of tests, and analyzed using Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) version 21.0. From the analysis, it was revealed that the employers are willing to employ the fresh graduates as their employees; however, there are a few employability skills that may influence their willingness to employ fresh graduates. With the findings and recommendations, the researcher hopes that it will contribute to the future research with the same area.
