TURNOVER INTENTION AMONG THE EMPLOYEES AT SELANGOR TREASURY MUNZIR

This paper investigates the turnover intention among the employees at Selangor Treasury. The main objective of this paper is to ascertain the level of turnover intention among the employees, whether they have the intention to leave the organisation or not. This paper also aims to determine the relationship between pay, promotion and workload with turnover intention. At the same time, the dominant factor influencing turnover intention has become another objective. In addition, this paper also aims to determine the level of education as a moderator has the moderation effect or not. Convenient sampling technique was adopted in this study. The total number of 136 questionnaires was distributed to the respondents. However, only 96 questionnaires were returned and collected. The analysis of data was conducted by utilising Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS). The result of the analysis revealed that the pattern from the employees indicated that they have a low level of intention to leave the organisation. Another result shows that pay and workload factor has a significant relationship with turnover intention. In addition, workload has become a dominant factor that influences turnover intention. Finally, the results indicated that level of education has no moderation effect between pay, promotion and workload with turnover intention among the employees at Selangor Treasury.
