With the increasing development and maturity of modern organization, employees were no longer fully attached to the organization. The relationship between the organizations had affected the realization and steadiness of the organization. Leader-member exchange (LMX) theory can influence affective commitment of employees towards organization from the social exchange perspectives. Researcher had outlined three (3) dimensions of leader-member exchange (LMX) that may influence level of affective commitment among employees and these dimensions are affection, loyalty and contribution. There are three (3) research objectives constructed by researcher which are to measure the level of affective commitment among employees, identifying the impact of LMX dimensions on affective commitment and to analyze the differences between groups (staff working below 6 years and above 6 years) on affective commitment. According to the literature review, conceptual framework has been constructed to clarify the link between dependent variable, moderator variable and independent variables. A set of questionnaires were distributed to 130 staff that work in Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN), Pahang with 21 years age and above to represent the population of this research. Likert-scale question has been utilized by the researcher to get the information by the researcher. The Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS_ version 20.0 was used to analyze the data collected and tested the goodness of the data via series of test. The finding of this study revealed that, the employees in UNITEN does have high level of affective commitment towards their organization but the organization still have to make an improvement to improve level of affective commitment among their employees. This study also found that contribution has correlation significant with affective commitment. Last but not least, it was found that tenure do not have significant relationship with affective commitment and support the previous study. The findings and recommendations constructed in this study can contribute in research area.
