This paper aims to study the user`s continuance intention to use Facebook for the e-government communication tool. Government has taken the opportunity to reach the public in wider scale as the social media has been used by the majority of the Malaysian. However, the public acceptance towards the social media as e-government communication tool is low. For the purpose of this study, the theory of uses and gratification was adopted in the conceptual framework. 167 of respondents were participated in the survey. This paper applied cross sectional study where the questionnaires were distributed to the potential respondents. All the data will be analyzed by using SPSS version 22. The finding of this study can be divided into three parts. Self-expression has been identified as most influenced variable toward the user`s continuance intention. Moreover, all three variable of gratification obtained did correlated to the continuance intention. The last finding is to examine whether the satisfaction has the moderation effect between the relationship of gratification obtained and dependent variable. The result indicates that satisfaction only has moderation effect between the relationships of entertainment – continuance intention and information seeking- continuance intention. All the finding has been discussed and recommendation for the future research has been proposed.
