Residential satisfaction is one of the indicators to ensure a quality of life of an individual. This study attempts to investigate different characteristics, which believed to have influenced toward residential satisfaction in RPR1 Miri. The result of study shows that there is significant relationship between the neighbourhood characteristics and dwelling characteristics toward residential satisfaction in RPR1 Miri. However, on the socio- demographic characteristics it shows there is no significant relationship between age and gender of the resident toward residential satisfaction. The ownership status and length of residency shows a significant relationship but only weak relationship toward residential satisfaction. The findings of the study also showed that the satisfaction of the residents is low in terms of security protection and materials used to build the low cost house in RPR1. Overall, there is only moderate satisfaction of residents in RPR1.
