Malaysians should enjoy good economic growth and higher per capita income with a better quality of life. Based on new budget 2016, government will focus on the middle-income households (M40 households) which it indicates monthly income ranging between RM3, 860 and RM8, 320. In the budget, the government has provided the tax relief for the taxpayers to ease their burden. Furthermore, this research focused on public servants as the government provides assistance to the public servants in order to reduce their burden of rising cost of living. This study measured the quality of life of middle-income groups among public servants in Majlis Daerah Hulu Selangor. There were two variables included in this study which are economic well-being and social well-being. Both variables have its own components that support both well-being. 77 questionnaires were answered by the middle-income public servants at Majlis Daerah Hulu Selangor. Based on the findings, it indicates that there is positive relationship between some of the components of economic well-being which are communication, income and distribution, work life and education. While for social well-being, the components that have positive relationship with quality of life are health, leisure, environment, housing, governance, social participation and family. However, economic well-being was the most influential factor towards quality of life of middle-income public servants.
