The World Health Organization has defined quality of life as “an individual’s perception of their position in life in the context of the culture and value systems in which they live and in relation to their goals, expectations, standards and concerns.” There might be differences on quality of life among people who live in rural and urban areas. Various domains and factors can be related to defining quality of life among these people. This research intends to determine the factors that related to the quality of life of residents who live in urban area specifically in Shah Alam area. The questionnaire is derived from the theory of Diener in Satisfaction with Life Scale. The results of the study found out that factors such as education, health, leisure and social interaction and environment are contributing to the quality of life of the residents in Shah Alam.
