A STUDY ON THE MOTIVATION FACTORS THAT CONTRIBUTES TOWARDS EMPLOYEE COMMITMENT AMONG THE STAFF AT TOP GLOVE COMPANY


Employee commitment is important to organization in order for the organization to achieve the organizational goals. Motivation plays an important role in enhancing the commitment of the employee as many studies showed its relationship. Hence, this study will examine the relationship between the proposed factors of motivation and employee’s commitment in Top Glove Company in Klang, Selangor. The proposed motivation factors are reward, recognition, working environment and job involvement. Random samples of 250 participants were participating in this study. The findings showed that all four factors of motivation have positive relationship with employee’s commitment. The respondents agreed that reward, recognition, working environment and job involvement affect their commitment towards the company. Besides that, finding of this study explained that commitment level of Top Glove’s staffs was generally low. Hence, proposed motivation factors have an impact towards employee’s commitment and Top Glove’s management can take into consideration of other factors to maintain the employee’s commitment.
