Being a bus driver is a high risk occupation because it involves life of the passengers. In addition, being a bus driver is exposed daily to a stressful and distracting work environment. The aim of this study was to assess the level of stress among the bus drivers and to determine the factors that contribute towards stress among bus drivers in Klang Valley. The questionnaires have been distributed to 106 bus drivers in Klang Valley through convenience sampling technique. The stress factors among the bus drivers were examined. According to the finding, there is moderate level of stress among the bus drivers and physical and work environment is the most influential factor contributes towards stress among the bus drivers in Klang Valley. Meanwhile, all independent variables have the correlation to the dependent variable. Several recommendations have been given for the improvement and this result of this study may give information to the government of Malaysia especially the Road Transport Department (RTD) to increase their concern to the bus drivers. The employer of bus drivers also can take corrective action and provide solutions to the bus drivers to manage stress.
