Knowledge sharing is
an important element for the successful of the company as Malaysia country is
now emphasizing on the knowledge-based economy. Nowadays, many companies
realize the significant of it, however, the practice of knowledge sharing is
not really implementing in their organization, especially in Malaysia. Thus,
this research designed to determine the factors that will influence the
effectiveness of knowledge sharing practices in MAYBANK. Four factors as the
independent variables have been tested in this study in order to verify its
relations towards organizational knowledge sharing practices, which are
organizational cultures, organizational structures, technological practices and
individual factors. The study used questionnaires in gaining the data and
information of 189 respondents from the employees of MAYBANK Branches in Shah
Alam and Klang areas. The data analysis will be carried out by using SPSS software
version 21.0. The findings highlight the significance of these variables in relation
to knowledge sharing practices through correlation analysis. From the findings,
it shows that all independent variables have relationship with knowledge
sharing practices in organizations. The results of this study also suggest the
organization to improve their approaches that will enhance their knowledge
sharing practices.
