THE INFLUENCE OF PROMOTION OPPORTUNITIES TOWARDS EMPLOYEES MOTIVATION AT MAYBANK BERHAD


The aim of this studies is to investigate the influence of promotion opportunities towards employees motivation at Maybank Berhad. A total of 200 respondents who is the staff of Maybank (penang Branches) been selected for this study. the study was conducted by purposive and convenience sampling tehnique. Three areas of promotion opportunities examined in this study are promotion criteria, equality of promotion and employee training. As far as employee and management concern, promotion is one of the best ways to reward employees for their hard work. As for promotion accompanied with high pay, high position and high resposibilities, employees are looking for an opprotunity for promotion. Based on the statistical tests conducted, the results show that the promotion opportunities and employee motivation correlate with each other. The most influenctial factor of promotion opportunities towars employee motivation also discovered in this paper. From the findings, the proposed framework is considered valid and some modification is needed due to insignificant effect of the varioables towards dependent variable. The objectives of the study were achieved and asnwered all the research questions. Discussions elaborated on the influence of promotioon opprotunities towards employee motivation. Finally, recommendations and conclusion were also highlighted.
