The study examined the obstacles in managing the security of Malaysia-Thailand by focusing at ICQS Bukit Kayu Hitam, Kedah. A cross sectional research design was constructed for this study. Structured questions were distributed to the 105 border personnel using purpose sampling technique. The result of analysis found that the level of border security is high in the respective area. This study also found that there are positive relationship between border porosity and lack of personnel and resources with border security. However, there are insignificance relationship between corruption and lack of international cooperation with border security. This study also examined that border porosity is the main obstacles to border security in Malaysia-Thailand border. As recommendations, this study advocates the authority to plays important parts in improving Malaysia-Thailand border security by appropriate measures.
