This paper is to gauge the perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use the Electronic Document/Database Management System (EDMS) of MIDA staff using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The EDMS is an internet based knowledge sharing system which gives access to MIDA staff on relevant information or documentation across all MIDA divisions. The questionnaire is built upon the work of Fred Davis on perceived usefulness, ease of use and usage of information technology. This study is based on Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and will also look at the moderating role of gender in this study. The information technology offers the potential substantially improving white collar performance (Curley, 1984; Edelman, 1981; Sharda, et al. 1988). Therefore MIDA management introduces the EDMS to ease the daily work process. The research aimed to investigate the use ICT (Information and Communication Technology) perceived usefulness and perceived ease in the usage of the system. It is based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) (Davis 1989). The study used quantitative analysis. The findings reveal that the MIDA staffs have low intention to use EDMS and the main factors that affected their intention to use EDMS were perceived the system not ease their daily work process.
