Currently the role of quality and continuous improvement is vital in the development of construction industry in developed nation. Construction quality and regular improvement is related with the adoption and implementation of quality management systems in construction companies itself. It is therefore important that adequate measures are put in place to ensure quality in the sector. Total Quality Management (TQM) is defined as a system of management based on the principle that every staff member must be committed to maintaining high standards of work in every aspect of a company's operations. It is considered as one of the most important approaches to achieve quality in construction companies not only in Malaysia but the world over. This study will seek to determine the factors that affect the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in Malaysian Construction Company. Selected Malaysian Construction Companies employees will be used as respondents of the study. The literature for this study will be reviewed basing on the following factors; top management commitment, employees’ training, organization culture and communication. The study was adopting a cross-sectional design. Convenience sampling was used to determine the sample size. Primary data for the study had been collected using structured questionnaires that already being distributed to the respondents which are employees who work in the Malaysian Construction Companies. The results reveal that the relevant factors that affect the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) are present and it has a strong effect on implementation of Total Quality Management in Malaysian Construction Companies.
