The influx of foreign labor has affected Malaysia in many ways and the biggest stakeholder that was affected is the society. Therefore, it is important to know the society’s perception on the need for foreign labor in Malaysia. The emphasis was put on trying to know how the competition in labor market, societal security and productivity of foreign labor would relate with the society’s perceptions on the need for foreign labor in Malaysia. These three factors are agreed by many past researcher that it has a significance relationships in influencing the society’s perceptions on the need for foreign labor. The validity and reliability of research instruments were established and data were collected from the public at Shah Alam, Selangor by using the convenience sampling technique. To analyze the data, the Descriptive Analysis statistical tool was used with the aim of understanding the society’s perception on the influx of foreign labor in Shah Alam, Selangor. The study between competition in labor market, societal security,productivity and society’s perception on the need for foreign labor shows that society’s has the perceptions that Malaysia do not need more foreign labor in Malaysia.
