According to Public Complaint Bureau, Royal Malaysian Police remains as the top enforcement agency in Malaysia receiving the highest public complaints regarding the performance for recent years. Specifically, RMP Selangor receives the highest public complaints regarding the poor performance and misconducts compared to other states. There are many actions that have been taken by the government in order to improve the RMP so that the police organization could perform better and meet the expectation. However, the police organization still face the same situation and problem which the performance is not as expected and the police officer also frequently related with the misconduct issues. The quality of work life of the employee is a controversial issue at the same time an important aspect that should be highly concerned by the organization. It is an important thing stated by most scholars which affects the police officer’s performance. The study aims to investigate the factors that contribute to the quality of work life among police officers at IPK Selangor. The data is collected from the police officers at IPK Selangor by using questionnaire. After the data has been analysed, the study has found there is a relationship between the quality of work life and performance of the police officer. Besides, it also has been proven that the working condition, interpersonal relationship with superior, compensation and career development are the factors that contribute to the quality of work life among police officers at IPK Selangor. The study suggests for IPK Selangor to highly concern and improve the existing working condition which is the most influential factor in order to ensure good quality of work life among police officers.
