Job satisfaction represents a combination of positive or negative feelings that workers have towards their work. In a way, when a worker employed in a business organization, he brings with him the needs, desires and experiences that determine the expectation. Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) ("KWAP") or the Retirement Fund (Incorporated) was established on 1st March 2007 under the Retirement Fund Act 2007(Act 662) replacing the repealed Pensions Trust Fund Act 1991 (Act 454). This agency is working towards achieving optimum returns on its investments, assisting the Federal Government in financing its pension liability. KWAP sees people as their greatest asset and therefore achievement oriented, professionalism, integrity, transparency, teamwork and continuous learning namely some of the core values being practiced in the organization. This research focused on the level of job satisfaction of Generation Y employees. The key elements chosen for job satisfaction is remuneration, management, working environment and reward. There are 220 Generation Y employees in Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (Diperbadankan) (KWAP) out of 587 total strength. A set of questionnaire was distributed to 220 Generation Y individual’s respondents via email through the Human Resource Department, with returned rate of 66.4% (146 respondents). This study utilized Likert-scale questions to answer both independent and dependent variables. The data collected were tested of its goodness of data via a series of tests. Analyses carried out revealed that, Generation Y employees in KWAP are towards achieving job satisfaction, however there was low and moderate relationship between dimensions in job satisfaction. On the other hand, it also found that there are significant differences between genders towards job satisfaction. Among recommendations suggested for future improvement in job satisfaction for Generation Y employees are to acknowledge their interest, as it will assist in custom-tailoring the retention strategies, since this generation will be the biggest population entering job market. Next, self-development opportunities are valuable to this generation, as this generation constantly needs to feel they are progressing. Besides, employee engagement at the workplace will make this generation feels that there is an opportunity for them to grow and opportunity for them to work through great leadership. On the other hand, besides flexibility this generation has a defined way in talking to them as this will allow for two-way communication and discussion per say, as harsh criticism would drive them to leave the organization. Lastly, the working environment produces positive working attitudes and behaviors.
