The issue of plagiarism is become the major problem in every academic institution. Although there are many initiatives that done by the university such as introduce the plagiarism detection software but this issue still do no can be fully reduce. Therefore, this research aim is to study the perception of UiTM undergraduates’ students on plagiarism. It is important to investigate the perception of the student regarding the lecturer roles and university roles that can influence their involvement in plagiarism. The study will held on Universiti Teknologi MARA, Shah Alam since it is one of the university that famous in having the increase number of plagiarism. This research is based on data obtained from a survey questionnaire that asked on student perception on lecturer roles and university policies and roles. By having this survey, we able to examine the student perception on lecturer roles and university policies and roles in creating the awareness on plagiarism and its influencer on the act of plagiarism done by students. It is hope that this study can contribute to the creating awareness for university and lecturer on their role in disseminate the information on plagiarism to students that can help to reduce this academic dishonesty.
