The death of motorcyclist in our country is a serious problem as the statistic from the Royal Malaysian Police shown that the death rate of motorcycle riders keeps on increasing from year to year. The highest death rate in Malaysia every year would be the motorcycle riders with 60% compared to the other road users. The study examines the impact of speed, inappropriate attire and road condition on the motorcyclist fatalities and how government regulation moderates the factors from the standpoint of the riders themselves. A random sample of 300 individual riders was selected to answer the questionnaire regarding the three factors and moderating variable. Quantitative analysis on this data is done using the standard SPSS statistical measures. It was found that all the three factors significantly influence the death of motorcyclist in road crashes with road condition as the most influential factors while the moderating function of government regulation on speed, inappropriate attire and road condition was found to be insignificant. The study shows that the riders death in road accident is indeed influenced by the speed, inappropriate attire and the road condition and government should consistently enforced the law and regulations in order to curb this problem.
