Employee motivation is one of the central issues in human resources due to its negatives consequences to organizational outcomes especially employees performance and productivity. There is an increasing concern regarding the declining in term of public official’s motivation level that is currently working in diverse levels in public organization. Hence this research focuses on the moderating effect of age on PSM and job satisfaction among employees in UiTM Shah Alam. This study employed a quantitative approach by using self-administered questionnaire. A total number of 297 UiTM employees (both academic and non-academic staff) responded to this study. The findings of this study revealed that there is a moderate level of job satisfaction among employees in UiTM Shah Alam (Mean=3.77, Std. Deviation=0.55). Further, three of the PSM dimensions were found having significant relationship with job satisfaction (Attraction to public-policy making, p=0.003; Compassion, p=0.001; and Self-sacrifice, p=0.000). Notably, self-sacrifice was found the most influence factor of PSM on employees job satisfaction (p=0.000; β=0.354). Finally, age of the respondents was found not significant in moderating the relationship between PSM dimensions and employees job satisfaction. This study concludes that although many employees in UiTM are among seniors (aged above 40 to 60), their job satisfaction is still considered good. There are a number of factors that motivate UiTM employees; and due to their high motivation, these employees will continue to work in UiTM to strive for excellence.
