Life, people and era have changed rapidly because the expansionary of information and communications technology (ICT). Furthermore, ICT has become a necessary in people lives. Technology has directly affected live of people especially students as they use and organize their social lives through social media sites such as Facebook. However, users especially students are more likely to face cybercrime problem and tend to engage in risky online behaviours because the routine of spending most time in cyberspace. The objectives of this study were to determine the level of ethical dissemination of information on social media especially through Facebook sites and to examine the relationship between digital literacy, digital access and digital rights with the ethical of dissemination. As previous studies found that students or youth who are more prone to peer influences are assume to provoke relatively more peer feedback by disclosing more and consequently applying fewer or less restrictions to the disclosed information such as during communication in social media. A questionnaire was used for primary data collection and 327 of students from Faculty of Education at Universiti Teknology MARA (Puncak Alam and Dengkil) participated in this study. The findings revealed the level of ethical dissemination of information was low (2.5260) that indicates most of the students are possibly not practising ethical behaviour during online activities as well as lack of digital literacy, digital access and digital rights and responsibilities. Besides that, there are low positive relationship between digital literacy, digital access while moderate positive correlation between digital rights with the ethical dissemination of information on social media. With the moderation of peer influences, the ethical of dissemination among the students is reducing while the moderation effect of peers is high. As suggested, there need some action by all respectful party to improve the level of ethical dissemination of information on social media (Facebook) and to develop good online behaviour among user.
