Nuclearization conflict has always been an intense and controversial issue in international relations realm. The most discussed and debated case is definitely the tensions between the US and the North Korea which remained unresolved till today. North Korea has been very aggressive pursuing their nuclear efforts and this development is seen as a threat to the world. This topic can be studied from various perspectives as it represents a dynamic and heated situation. This in particular includes the study on how the media portray the conflict between US and North Korea. Media have become the most influential and significant platform of power in delivering the information at the same time shaping public opinion towards the issue. Hence, this study embark on indepth analysis on United States (Us) and North Korea nuclearization conflict based on editorial examination. A discourse analysis study was adopted as a the method for this study in the attempt to examine the media content through various media and editorial sources. This study also employs Gusterson’s theory on nuclear orientalism and framing theory to guide and support the study. From this way, a different standpoint of media can be look into in illustrating the issue of nuclearization conflict between US and North Korea. The analysis from the findings indicated that the media has the tendency to portray North Korea as the bad guy in the case of nuclearization conflict as opposed to US in which the media has never labelled the state as the antagonise character. In addition, the analysis also revealed that the media and editorial reporting of the nuclearization conflict were dominated by negative framing on the side of North Korea.
