Emotional exhaustion is the key component of burnout system, which in the long run may lead to serious health problems. This study was conducted in order to identify its determinants so as to help the health sector in particular, and other organizations in general, to be aware and take actions in overcoming it. In a cross-sectional field study, 310 respondents among doctors, nurses and medical assistants, were issued set of questionnaires. Analysation was made using multiple regression and findings shown that the medical teams of Hospital Tengku Ampuan Rahimah shows a positive relationship between the work-family conflict, job demands and workplace incivility with emotional exhaustion, with its most significant determinant is work-family conflict and the least significant is the workplace incivility. Actions should be taken by the management to provide services that could reduce the burden of employees, to schedule the target group, which is the medical team for an extraordinary training which is not directly related to their task and to review internal policies and codes of conduct to promote internal campaign in supporting civility at work and home.
