Occupational stress is important to make sure the employee who work in stressful environment could realize that the stress could affect their work performance and it also could harm their health. This study is testified among the police force who work in three department namely, Commercial Crime Investigation Department, Crime Investigation Department, and Narcotic Investigation Department in six police district in Klang Valley. Since a lot of them working in dangerous environment, unpredicted work shift and dealing with the crimes accident, will lead them towards occupational stress in the workplace. The main objective of the research is to investigate the factors of occupational stress and work performance in the workplace. Secondly, to investigate the most occupational stress factors that contribute to occupational stress among the police officer in the Royal Malaysia Police. Lastly to examine whether gender moderate the relationship between occupational stress and work performances. The data were conducted by using parametric analysis, which is Pearson Correlation to determine first objective, while for second objectives multiple regression test will be used to identify the most contributing independent variable and for the third objectives PROCESS SPSS by Hayes was used to test moderator effect of moderating variable (gender) towards the relationship between occupational stress factor (work environment, career development and role based) and work performance. Hence, the findings show that, there are relationship between work environment and career development among employees in RMP.
