RELATIONSHIP STUDY BETWEEN TRANSFORMATIONAL LEADERSHIP STYLE AND CORPORATE ETHICAL VIRTUES OF AN ORGANIZATION: EMPLOYEES' PERSPECTIVE


Nowadays life of leaders is more severe inside and outside of  the organization. Despite the enormous social progress of leadership features in recent development years, there are barriers that still exist related leadership style practices and these have lead the unease issues involving unethical leaders and business fraud that transpired voluptuous scandals ever recorded in history of companies' failures. Akin with the performance soaring organization, ethics practiced within its immediate working environment viewed as one of the main contributor to its niche sustainability and researcher is trying to study whether leaders' transformational leadership style is influencing this ethical organizational enhancement via corporate ethical virtues (CEV) measurement developed by Kaptein (2007). In performing this research study, factors of transformational leadership style are used as independent variables with only four most prevalence corporate ethical virtues. This study conducted via method of convenience sampling in one of the selected Malaysian government investment-linked companies (GiLC) namely Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB) with sample size respondents sampled from PNB's employees working at Menara PNB with distribution of 275 questionnaire with feedback return received of 130 questionnaire. Result indicates that there is positive relationship influence between factors of transformational leadership style and corporate ethical virtues within PNB.
