Cybercrime define as the crimes that involve the use of technology such as internet as an instrument for the criminal to carry out the criminal activities. Due to technological advancement, the problem of cybercrime occurs around the world including Malaysia. This study testified on the youth in Kuala Lumpur area includes Damansara, Klang Lama, Kepong, Pusat Bandar Kuala Lumpur, Setiawangsa and Cheras. Since the youth are the most vulnerable group in the cybercrime victimization, this study will focus on the factors that lead to cybercrime victimization among this group. The main objective for this research is to identify the level of awareness on cybercrime issues among the youth. The second objective is to investigate the relationship between the antecedents (lack of knowledge, online lifestyle and digital guardianship) with cybercrime victimization. The third objective is to identify the most influential factor that lead to cybercrime victimization. Lastly, this study examine whether the gender moderate the relationship between the antecedents with cybercrime victimization. The data was collected by self-administered questionnaire and also conducted the online survey. The data was tested by using SPSS. The first objective was determine through Descriptive Analysis. The second objective was determine by using Pearson’s Correlation while the third objective by using Multiple Regression. The last objective which is to test the moderating variable (gender) towards relationship of antecedents and cybercrime victimization was examine by using PROCESS SPSS by Hayes. Hence, the results shows there are the relationship between all the antecedents (lack of knowledge, online lifestyle and digital guardianship) with cybercrime victimization and lack of knowledge is the most influential variable in this study. In addition, the findings show that there is no moderator effect of gender between the relationship of antecedents and cybercrime victimization.
