Purpose- This study reports the relationships of four power distance factors; employee empowerment, organizational structure, communication and leadership upon job satisfaction among non-academic staff in UiTM Shah Alam. This study attempts to identify which factor that influence employee job satisfaction in this population the most thus the UiTM Shah Alam top management can identify their strength or weakness in handling their subordinates.
Design/Methodology- A cross-sectional leadership was utilized to collect information from respondents. Analysis of correlation and regression were utilized to determine the relationship and most influential factor of power distance towards employee job satisfaction.
Findings- The analysis found two of the power distance factors; employee empowerment and leadership have a significant relationship with employee job satisfaction. Employee empowerment was found to be the most influential factor which is related to employee job satisfaction.
