THE POSITIVE OUTCOME OF HAVING INTERNATIONAL AGENCIES FOR ORGANIZING MARITIME AND SAFETY AT STRAIT OF MALACCA


 Despite Malacca Strait has been use a long time ago as maritime economic trading route, there are still uncomfortable feeling regarding what is the current status of safety and security of Malacca Strait and the guarantee safety of the ships and crew while transiting the strait. Those doubtful mind about Malacca Strait never has been academically explain to shipping company and stake holder that sometimes afraid to use Malacca Strait as one of the passage route for worldwide destination. The activity of piracy and sea robbery along the straits contribute the decreasing level of Security and Safety at Malacca Strait but then has been said reduced years ago until now. There are some international agencies including government relations that has put an effort to organizing for reducing and monitoring the maritime security and safety of Malacca Strait in order to create a safe route for maritime shipping activities. Therefore, the purpose of study to examine and to know or identify the positive outcome of having international agencies for organizing maritime and safety at Malacca Strait especially in perspectives of piracy and sea robbery activities that can be proved and share to the public.
