Globally the environment issue is a topic that was highly debated from each level. Particularly,
solid waste management issue was one of the factors of environmental issue. Recycling
practices, said to be few methods that was used to overcome those problems. The practices of
recycling was adopted by some of the developed countries which proven to solve the
environmental issue such as increasing in volume of waste. The high participation from the
public is one of the key factors to the success. This study was conducted by the researchers to
study on public participation towards recycling in Malaysia specifically in the state of Selangor
and Kuala Lumpur.
