The excellence of a student is not only measured by academic performance, but it is also
evaluated by their participation in various co-curriculum activities that can develop their soft
skills. Volunteering, particularly in public higher education institutions, can be considered a
primary civic and moral education supported by the government. The study aims to identify
the factor influencing the intention to engage in volunteering among undergraduate students of
UiTM Seremban 3 by using the Theory of Planned Behavior. A total of 291 respondents,
comprising of students from Faculty of Administrative Science and Policy Studies at UiTM
Seremban 3 were involved in this study. The research instruments consisted on several section
on demographic, volunteering intention: attitude, subjective norms and perceived behavioral
control. The data was analysed using the SPSS and interpreted to provide the key finding on
undergraduate students of UiTM Seremban 3 intention to engage in volunteer activities. This
study shows that TPB and volunteering intention is positively significant. It shows that attitude
factors influenced almost all the respondent in this study participating in voluntary activities.
The study ends with a recommendation that should be taken to attract students to participate
and engage more actively in volunteer work.
