Premarital sexual behaviour and intercourse has been a problem in society, especially when it
involves youth and adolescent in very young age. Coupled with rising cases of abortions, baby
dumping, and reported cases of sexually transmitted diseases also HIVs, it is established that
premarital sexual behaviours are a problem need to be address at its roots. Therefore, this
research is aimed to understand the reasons and factors contributing to the involvement of
youth and adolescent in premarital sexual behaviour. Specifically, among the adolescent
residing in the area of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor state. The research is a qualitative research
where the method data collection used are in-depth interviews with individuals who are
involved in premarital sexual behaviour during the age of adolescents. The research exercises
a data sampling method of snowball technique where the respondents are identified among the
common similarity of their involvement in premarital sexual behaviour. The discoveries of this
study confirm the three prior assumptions of what seems to cause the problem along with five
other factors gain through the research and analysis, which are high curiosity; relationship;
mentally problems; social media and pornography, and lack of religious discipline. These
outcomes can be taken as a framework for the next step needed to be taken in order to curb the
issue of premarital sexual behaviour among adolescents. These five aspects need to be further
analysed in order to design a better approach in the future to deal with social problems of
premarital sexual behaviour among youth and adolescent.
