PARENTS SATISFACTION TOWARDS COMMUNITY BASED REHABILITATION AT KUALA PILAH DISTRICT


Being as parents with disability children is challenging situation beside it will give impact through the emotion of the whole family. The tough situation normally in term of schooling them, due from not having many choices of school which disable children to be enter especially at rural area. The existing of Community Rehabilitation Program at rural area was seen as an alternative for the parents to send their disability children to get early education. The purpose of this study is to assess the factors which contribute most on Parents' Satisfaction towards Commnity Based Rehabilitation Program at Kuala Pilah District. The factors that being used by the researcher consist of premise, equipment and facilities, cleanliness, security, menu and nutrition, development of learning, and communication and interaction of teachers towards the student and parents. all of the factors were extracted from Form of Monitoring of Montessori and combined with the guideline of Community Based Rehabilitation book which prepared by the Department of social Welfare in order to complete this study. The population was recruited from four Community Cased Rehabilitation 9CBR) program at Kuala Pilah which is from CBR Pekan Kuala Pilah, CBR Felda Kepis, CBR Juasseh and CBR seri Menanti. Data were collected by self-completion of questionnaire which was distributed to 90 parents who get the service. The findings show that a total of 90 parents are participated. The level of parent satisfaction towards CBR Program by using mean method shows positive especially on the parents hope by sending their disable children at CBR can improve their child development. beside, factors that most influence the parents satisfaction tested using regression analysis shows that communication and interaction of the teachers toward student and parents has higher level than other factors. lastly, the relationship between factors and parents satisfaction shows that all the factors has positive significant relationship. The finding illustrate that all the factors are important and give impact of successful on CBR Program beside it also create trust of the parents and also community. This also shows that disable children are not been neglected and have right to get early education by entering CBR Program.
