This thesis aimed to capture a deeper understanding of the Regional Cooperation and the roles of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in helping its member states in handling disaster and emergency issue. In this dissertation, the researcher choose MH 370 tragedy as the case study. This study proposed a number of recommendations to make Malaysia and ASEAN as a whole more relevant in facing any crisis, conflict, disaster and emergency. It is hoped that the study will contribute some input and reference for any organization to handle the emergency issue more effectively in the future.
