The attitude of the employees in the
organization is depending on how they act, whether to act morally or immorally
based on their characteristics. The relationship between their acts gives
impact to the organization. According to Niccolo Machiaveli in 1513 on his book
titled ‘The Prince’, individuals act immorally to maintain their power. This
research had been continuously done by Christie and Geis in 1970, stated that
in order to achieve oneself benefit, individuals’ are bind with the immorally
act to gain their own satisfaction. Thus, this research had come out with four
(4) research objectives stated the factors (achievement types, motivation and
locus of control) that influenced Machiavellianism in the organization. To
construct on the tabulation of data, a set of 100 questionnaires had been
distributed to100 respondents at Institut pendidikan Guru Kampus Tun Hussein
Onn, and the target group had been specified to the academic staff. The data
collected was analysed by using Statistical Package for Social Science software
(SPSS Version 20.0). From the study, the result shown that none of the factors
influence much on Machiavellianism towards the respondents.
