PATIENTS SATISFACTION ON QUALITY OF SERVICE AT SERDANG HOSPITAL


Patient satisfaction has emerged as a vital indicator of the quality on medical care. It is a common way to measure the quality in healthcare services. This study aim and investigate the level of patient satisfaction in Serdang Hospital, also the relationship between four independent variables namely physical facilities, communication, waiting times and gender of doctor and patient satisfaction as a dependent variables. This study also measures the moderating effect of age between antecedent and patient satisfaction in Serdang Hospital. In addition, this study measure moderating effect of gender between antecedent and patient satisfaction in Serdang Hospital. Data of research was collected through patient in Sedang Hospital and 391 patients from sixteen (16) departments were involved in this study. The finding shows four independent variables namely physical facilities, communication, waiting times and gender of doctor are directly associated with patient satisfaction. Meanwhile, age and gender were not related to the relationship between four independent variables namely physical facilities, communication, waiting times and gender of doctor and patient satisfaction. Furthermore, Serdang Hospital staff must to improve the communication quality, because according to results show that communication being as a most influence variable in patient satisfaction in Serdang Hospital.
