THE MODERATING AFFECT OF SPAD’S ROLES IN SUSTAINING TAXI DRIVER’S COMMITMENT TO STAY IN THE TAXI INDUSTRY


The moderating affect on SPAD’s roles in sustaining taxi driver commitment to stay in the taxi industry have been prove that the moderating affect which is SPAD’s roles does not give affect on the relationship between independent variable (income, freedom, sustainability and competition) and dependent variable (the commitment of taxi driver). The moderating affect only for independent variable that is work condition. The objective of this study has been achieved which there is relationship between independent variables and dependent variable. In this study, the respondent consists of individual taxi driver. For this study, it uses cross-sectional design in order to select the sample of individual taxi driver from the large population of taxi driver. Sampling techniques that have been use in this study is stratified/convenience sampling technique. The collection of data is an individual taxi driver in Wilayah Persekutuan, Kuala Lumpur. The collection of data that can manage to collect is about 396 respondents of individual taxi driver. The result from this study is SPAD does not affect the relationship between independent variables (income, freedom, sustainability and competition) and dependent variable (the commitment of taxi driver) except only on independent variables that is work condition towards the dependent variable (the commitment of taxi driver) and there is a relationship between all independent variables (work condition, income, freedom, sustainability and competition) and dependent variable ( the commitment of taxi driver).
