The rise of knowledge based organization in the public sector changed the paradigms of the contemporary organizations environment. The knowledge of human capital is the new assets as the individuals of the organization possess the critical knowledge for the organizational performance and competitiveness. There is paradigm shift for the Malaysia public sector organization since the administration of former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohammad in order to deliver services in transparency, integrity and accountability way. It is a line with objective of New Public Management that has been introduced in the public administration in Malaysia since 1980’s. The study aims to understand the moderating effect of altruism attitude in relationship between knowledge sharing behaviour and organization performance. The sample population was acquired by using the stratified convenience sampling technique by focus the Jabatan Penerangan Malaysia employee as the respondent. A total of 241 questionnaires were distributed to 241 employees at Jabatan Penerangan Malaysia, in Putrajaya by hand and all the questionnaires were returned for analysis. The data had been analyzing by using Statistics Package for Social Sciences. Research finding reveals that the participant perspective believes that, the altruism attitude has correlation between the individual factor under the dimension of knowledge sharing behaviour and organization performance. The multiple regression with moderator result shows that, there are moderating effect of altruism attitude on knowledge sharing behaviour (individual factor) and organizational performance.
