Managing stress is very crucial for all working people. Both men and women need to do
this because having elevated level of stress can cause problems such as feeling
demotivated, becoming less productive and feeling less safe at their workplace. The
purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between the level of stress with
organizational commitment which include affective commitment, continuance
commitment and normative commitment and to evaluate the moderating role of work life
balance at the workplace. Measuring the levels of stress is important as it refers to the
level of stress among worker at the workplace. The study assumes that level of stress was
a something common among working people and would deteriorate the positive effect
between the organizational commitment and moderate relationship towards work life
balance. This study includes quantitative research method with the purposive and
convenience sampling procedure. This study also uses the cross-sectional design and was
applied to a sample of 307 respondents working at Menara UOA Bangsar in Kuala
Lumpur. Results indicated that a positive relationship exists between level of stress and
continuance commitment and work life balance does not become a moderating effect
between organizational commitment and the level of stress. The paper discuss on a few
suggestion that can be recommended to working people, organization and future research.
