This study entitled "the Influence of Trainee and Workplace Attributes on Training Transfer: A Study of national Population and Family Development Board" examined the transfer of training - the effect of training on the job and performance. These are two objectives between self efficacy, trainee readiness and supervisor support, peer support and opportunity to use and second is to determine the influence of self efficacy, learner readiness and supervisor support, peer support and opportunity to use on training transfer. For the purpose of this study, population size is 400 and the research design was cross sectional survey to examine unit of analysis is individual of National Population and family Development Board staff, Kuala Lumpur using convenience sampling. The result indicates that the correlation between self-efficacy, learner readiness and supervisor support, peer support and indicates that the five independent variables i.e. self-efficacy, learner readiness, supervisor support, peer support and opportunity to use explained 26.8% of variance in training transfer. From these results also it can be concluded that the supervisor support is the highest effect on training transfer and followed by self-efficacy, opportunity to use, and learner readiness. Results also indicates that the lowest effect of independent variable which positively influences training transfer is peer support. In Malaysia context, this study has sought to fill the gap through examining the influences trainee and workplace attributes on transfer training. the detail of implications to training practice was highlighted in Chapter 5.
